This is sort of just something i'm working on while i try to find the effort to panel the Illustrious and Fluffy up to scratch. Been out of Max for a good few days now and i needed something to get back into the routine, so i started on aa design i've had stuck in my head a while now. Also its something that i can panel and detail to my hearts content without having to worry about animations and stuff.
Anyway, basic idea for the layout, Nose of the ship holds the ships shuttlebay, further back is the bridge (basic layout + size guys: pic three) with the crews living quarters behind and main cargo bay below. The rest of the ship is taken up by the ships stores, machines and life support. The VTOL Sublight engines are the cylinders on the side while the ships FTL is the "tail" at the back.
ATM i'm looking for some Electic Lightning Jet refrences for the engines, seeing that there based on those, i can't find much on the web, so i was wondering if some members could help piont me in the right direction.
