As far as the missile(s), I was thinking two. One on each side, between the cockpit and the gun. Decided that if it were to carry missiles they'd have to go up front, since the back end will be pointing in all different directions...
(Real story behind the missiles, artistic license. Thought the gunner's pod needed something sharp and poky to offset all the sharp and poky things I've added to the back....)
...but as with everything about this ship, they're optional...
