| Minotaur Update! Ok, finally got some updates for the Minotaur. Firstly, the sublight engines did not turn out like I had envisioned. I finally gave up and did what's on there now. I may go back later to tr-try what I wanted to do, but for now I'm leaving it as is. To do what had wanted to, it would have taken me almost as long to do just one engine as the entire rest of the ship, especially with the level of detailing I wanted to put in. Basically, I wanted to do a octagonal shaped engine that was disected internally leaving 8 open segments around a center open segment, all with their own lighting, reflections and color. Just trying to get the indiviual segments to match up with eachother's gradient lighting would have been a nightmare.
However, I did get get some sublight engines out back. The "nacelle" thingies are actually the hyperdrive engines, just so you know. Got some greebling done on the sides, some but not all. As stated before, I got the windows in. Tried to make some look on and some off and still others sorta on. Put in the "bomb bay" doors to the bottom. Then some piping and greebling infront of it also on the bottom. I also put in a pair of "running" lights, since those are always found on US aircraft and Naval ships. I also put in 2 docking doors on each side. Gonna put more much farther back later on. Otherwise, some minor tweeks and and addins here and there. But all in all, I think I'm going to put this one on the back burner for a little while to simmer before I do anything more on it. Probably just a few days. I just need a break from it and Bryce. Anyways, without any more hoopla, here some shots I rendered out. |
