Just a simple enough post about the person known as Benjamin. I'm a CAD designer from out of the DC Metro area of Virgina. I've been a sci-fi fan for as long as I can remember and have been working on stories and ships since I could write and draw.
As a full time CAD guy my first drawing medium is going to be AutoCAD. I know this isn't the most graphically pleasing program as it doesn't have the colors and flashy things that Maya and 3DSMax have but I think for the drawings that I mainly try to do, schematics and floor plans, it works out just fine.
I've been starting to learn Maya and I will probably will be learning 3dsMAx in the next few months.
Also I would like to ask the veterans of this site where would I post a start to a design collaboration project for a ship I am having a hard time with the initial concept. |
