Yep Dented, modified with a gradient.. it's a cool texture!

I believe I used the perlin noise type, but all of them are quite cool

and err it's shiny because it's behind glass - the edge of which you can see in the render I should make that a bit thicker actually
It's not a 'secret of the masters' it's just down to fiddling round with the settings a lot

Here's my surface settings. FYI I have the material set to reflect a small black pic, because sometimes my backdrop isn't black, and I get wierd blue reflections of the environment I don't want

Hope it makes sense. Oh and the scale is tiny because the model is quite small.
