StarGate Atlantis: Premiere is TONIGHT!

Scifi-Meshes.com last week received a screener of the first two episodes for Season 4 of StarGate: Atlantis. And we'd like to assure you that this season is going to be awesome!

The premiere picks up right where we left off last season and catapults the team into action within a few minutes. And it just doesn't let up. I can't and don't want to give away any secrets, so I'll word myself carefully.

In this season's first episode we're treated to some very very nice CGI. And a few special effects that really first-rate. The team is still trying to save Atlantis, and themselves for that matter, so count on several tense moments.

I personally loved two episodes I've seen and l can't wait to watch them again tonight and next week. And then every friday night afterwards. Support good scifi and watch this show. You won't be sorry!

Scifi Channel's Press Release:

Reports of Dr. Carson Beckett's untimely demise last season on SCI FI's Stargate Atlantis have been greatly exaggeratedor have they? Paul McGillion will reprise his role as everyone's favorite Scottish physician in a two-episode arc during the series' fourth season, which will premiere on Friday, September 28 at 10pm ET/PT.

It was the fan cry heard 'round the Pegasus galaxy when Dr. Beckett was unexpectedly killed in an explosion at the end of season 3. His return to Atlantis promises to be every bit as shocking.

In addition to McGillion's return, Atlantis viewers can also look forward to season 4 guest appearances by Torri Higginson ("Dr. Elizabeth Weir") and Stargate SG-1's Christopher Judge ("Teal'c").

The Stargate legacy continues to burn bright on SCI FI with the fourth original season of Atlantis. Amanda Tapping, one of the most beloved stars in the Stargate universe, travels to the Pegasus galaxy to join the Atlantis cast by reprising her role as television's most adored astrophysicist, Colonel Samantha Carter. Firefly's Jewel Staite also joins the cast this season as "Dr. Jennifer Keller." Taking the torch from SG-1 as television's most thrilling adventure series, Atlantis, promises to up the ante this season by introducing a powerful new race, welcoming new cast members and mourning the loss of some beloved friends.

SCI FI ORDERS A THIRD SEASON OF TOP-RATED ORIGINAL SERIES EUREKA
AND A SECOND SEASON OF REALITY HIT DESTINATION TRUTH

NEW YORK, NY - September 27, 2007- SCI FI Channel has greenlit production on a third season of its most-watched Original Series Eureka, ordering 13 new hours of the dramedy. SCI FI is also renewing its investigative reality hit Destination Truth for a second season, it was announced today by Mark Stern, SCI FI Channel’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming.

Eureka will begin production on a third season in Vancouver early next year for a summer 2008 premiere. The second season of Destination Truth is also slated to premiere in 2008 with six exciting new episodes.
"Eureka rose to an even higher creative level in its sophomore season, combining entertaining, compelling stories with deeper character development and great cast chemistry. And clearly the audience noticed, bringing millions of new viewers to the Channel," said Mark Stern. "Destination Truth with Josh Gates proved to be a great addition to our Wednesday night lineup and the perfect companion piece for Ghost Hunters."

In keeping with SCI FI's mission to broaden the scope and appeal of its programming roster, Eureka is a relatable, earth-based dramedy credited with bringing in over 3 million new viewers to the Channel in its second season alone. The series premiere on July 18, 2006 broke Channel records and remains the highest rated series telecast in SCI FI history. Eureka continued to grow in its second season, achieving season high household and key demo ratings with its August 28th episode (2.1 HH, 1,654,000 adults 25-54).

Eureka seems like any other cozy Pacific Northwest town, but is actually a secret community of geniuses assembled by the government to conduct top-secret research. The result is a place where anything imaginable can happen… and does. Returning for a third season are stars Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson, Joe Morton, Jordan Hinson and Ed Quinn and executive producers Jaime Paglia and Charlie Craig. Eureka is a SCI FI Channel presentation and is produced and distributed by Universal Media Studios.

Multiple Academy Award Winner Joel Silver (The Matrix Trilogy) is Executive Producer

"No Such Thing As Vampires" - When a series of vampire-style murders plague L.A., immortal investigator Mick St. John (O'Loughlin) sets out to find the culprits and re-connects with a woman, Internet reporter Beth Turner (Myles), from his past at a crime scene, on the series premiere of MOONLIGHT, Friday, Sept. 28 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Mick St. John is a captivating, charming- and immortal- private investigator from Los Angeles who defies the traditional blood-sucking norms of his vampire tendencies by using his wit and powerful supernatural abilities to help the living. In a life-altering twist of fate, Mick was "bitten" 60 years ago by his new bride, the seductive Coraline. Forever 30 years of age, Mick's as handsome and charismatic as the day he was "turned," and he eschews others of his kind who view humans only as a source of nourishment. With only a handful of like-minded confidantes for company, including the eternally young, wealthy and mischievous Josef, a hedge fund trader who relishes his uniqueness, Mick fills his infinite days protecting the living. But one night years ago, a single act of kindness changed Mick when he saved a young girl's life, making him want to be a better vampire. Now their paths cross again and Mick develops a distinctive bond with Beth Turner who has grown into a beautiful, ambitious Internet investigative reporter. Reconnecting with her unleashes feelings Mick knows he can't pursue without exposing the part of him that would make him a monster in Beth's eyes. As Mick lives between two realities, fighting his adversaries among the undead and falling in love, he discovers the mysteries and pleasures that a valuable life has to offer.
