Anyway, this film will probably be good and entertaining, just like Batman Begins was, but Tim Burton's two films will always stand head and shoulders above this new series. |
A matter of taste, I guess. Ever since I wanted to see a Batman movie that was realistic, and not gothic and gay, since Batman is the
only comic book hero who could exist in the real world. A rich business man using his money to fight crime and terror with extremely advanced technology.
And the way Batman Begins turned out, it's the
perfect approach to the Batman story, in my opinion. The batmobil being a military combat vehicle, the city, style and design being realistic, all the technology (especially the suit) being designed for a purpose, and that it feels like it could be something that isn't ripped from a comic book. No mutants, no super abilities, just martial arts, advanced technology and "real" villains. That's why I like Batman Begins much better than the Burton movies.
The only thing I don't like is the music. The original theme by Danny Elfman is great, the new music is quite forgetable.
