| It's the ops control compartment for the number 1 landing deck, docking bays 1A and 1B. It doubles as an airlock so the attending crewmen can rapidly exit the compartment up onto the landing deck if needed for various ops reasons. The standard uniform for personnel working in the ops compartment during landing deck operations is an environment suit though they are not required to keep the helmet donned unless EVA deck work is to be conducted and the compartment is depressurized. |
