I think I might place a medical bay above the Bridge and Directly behind the Admiral Control Center.

The Engineering Table from the D sounds neat. I think I have the Engineering room mesh somewhere and will see about whipping out a prototype, when I redo the consoles and chairs.
About The AI construct, I think I will implement it, but will make it optional.
