Starbuck & Apollo

Just posted my first proper experiment with photoshop in my gallery, but until it's moderated I'll present it here. The vipers were drawn by hand in ink (outlines only), scanned, then rendered in photoshop. They're pretty rough at 4000x2500 each, but look neat and tidy when shrunk down and placed on a suitable backdrop!

The inspiration is from the season 3 episode 'Maelstrom', set in the bespin-like gas-giant the fleet comes across.

EDIT: Thanks for the advice Samurai, completely forgot all about that aspect!

Evening RC, glad you've plucked up the courage to post your work here.

Looks good, and I'm sure the gallery mods will get to it in short order- sometimes things can take a little while to be approved, real life has a habit of interfering with forum duties quite regularly.

There is one thing worth mentioning about your post though, and thats that there aren't any credits on the image you've posted.

I know the pic is all your own work, but we encourage members to place credits on all images. This is to discourage more unscrupulous people from farming our galleries for images they intend to use for their own ends.

It's quite likely the guys won't approve your gallery image without credits for this reason, so it would be a good idea to add them next time you get a chance, and re-upload the pic.

Just want to stress that you've not done anything "wrong" here, and there's no trouble- it's just one of the rules we have here.

If you need any info, feel free to contact me or another member of the SFM staff- we have our names in colours, if you're unsure how to identify us.

Looks nice man... nice drawings as well

Have you considdered makeing the background look more drawn - less real... might bring the image better together!
