A childs question

A few days ago, my daughter (age 7) and I were out looking at the stars and she asked me a question that really humbled me and put the universe in perhaps a bit sharper perspective for me...she asked me where stars were born. it was one of those moments that just brings a tear to your eye on the spot...

I answered her with a question, rather than tell her the scientific viewpoint I asked her where SHE thought that they were born...the conversation that followed will live on with me for the rest of my days. the innocence of a child is perhaps one of the most beautiful things in this universe.

this image was inspired by that moment. been working on it off and on since that night and I'm happy to share it with you all. looking at it really brings me right back to that moment.

So..you're next mission (should you choose to accept it) is a full stellar nursery.

No question is a stupid question if you don't know the answer - If you need help (and you can find us), ask the (Sens)A-Team.

Very beautifully done. It looks like it came straight from the Hubble! I'd expect nothing less from a pilot! After all, you are just a "higher" caliber of person, yuck, yuck... - Yes I know...I'm a geek

The best art always comes from moment like that, heh. Saw a portfolio the other day from a dude, and his best image there was a painting of his dog who had just passed away.

Very nicely done mate. I think however that the lines and the text are taking the focus a bit out of the image...either because they are too bright in relation to the image or the image is too dark in relation to the text (slight difference there). I think more the latter...I went into Photoshop and did 25 contrast 10 brightness and it was a lot better. Apart from that
