that's got to be the best critique i got, ever! thanx

the trees were ment to be that loose, i didn't want to drift off to realism... they're not really trees, they're more some kind of visualization of feelings, moods etc...

what's the significance of the number 5?
the five women are tied to weights in the shape of a pentagon, and the slaves are in groups of five . . .

and I love 'Under the Surface'
the way the background is sort of indistinct seems like the wound has demanded the viewer focus on it instead of the peaceful landscape
it's like you're trying to get away from the pain but it always manages to draw all your attention to it . . .

maybe I'm reading too much into it

maybe you intended that there was just a grumpy wolf in the forest that day! haha
