Sci-fi Microheroes There a style of drawing called Microheroes that has hooked me. I origianlly thought it was some sort of template that you just pick details and add them on. That's not the case. While there are indeed templates, creativity is encouraged. To that end I joined a website for them and tried my hand at it. I had seen Sooo many Star Trek and Star Wars Microheroes, I felt obliged to bring to life some of the other genres. I am at the point where I am building my own templates. I have to admit, though, I am still working on my shading techniques. So here is V.I.N.CENT L.F.396 and Old B.O.B. L.F.28 how I imagined he would look fresh off the assembly line.

Pretty cool S@S, I was never even aware of the whole microheroes thing. And anything Black Hole related is always cool. I remember digging that movie when it was on Showtime like three times a day in the mid-80's. I thought about picking up the DVD when I was in borders the other day, but I'm pretty sure it would seem terrible in retrospect.

Thanks. I'm working on the beat-up version of old B.O.B. and have got the reference pics for Maxamillian. I think this is one of those movie/tv shows where time has rose-coloured my perspective like the original BSG and Buck Rogers. I did do a Cylon in this style as well as the majority of the crew from Firefly. It's fun. Passes the time when I'm bored.

| SFM Oracle | Sweet work, B.O.B. looks very good. (Was in the repair station, ain't he?) ![]() The Cylon is very nice, I'd say. |

HAHA!! I haven't done Mal yet. Someone else has so I worked on the rest of the crew. Some came out ok, some I have to go back and revisit as they were early works. I'm particularily happy with how River and Zoe came out.

Thanks! I've been concentrating on writing lately and as such, the microheroes have stalled on the drawing board. Damaged Old B.O.B. is still only partially done. I will try to get back to these.

Ok, FINALLY, here is the movie version of Old B.O.B. I hope I got the weathering right. The claws were the hardest part and the legs I think came out the best.
