| Project Lead on SFM Film | looking at it again. I notice that some of the wrinkles on spock's faces looks more like fat. It the shine on the checks that is causing this. |

| The composition of the piece feels a little off. I think Kirk's placement looks a little off with the bottom of him bleeding off the image. It would be more consistant if his bottom half was hidden in the smoke like the other two. The top of his head doesn't quite break the lines that make up the shoulders of scotty and spock- it's flirting with being a bad tangent. The Klingon ship feels to me that it's not really centered well in the negative space between scotty and spock and the warp nacelle on our left of Enterprise isn't really shown well. Which brings me to enterprise- something about feels weird. The manner in which the secondary hull is hidden behind spock makes the nacelle on our rght and the saucer feel broken. I think the saucer section is too darkas it's this heavy black shape that's dominating the piece and not allowing my eye to really move around the canvas. I think if the three characters and the enterprise were all centered more on the page and moved up to take advantage of the open space at the top, the composition as a whole would work out better. Anywho, that's my take. Take it or leave it |

| SFM Guru | It looks very good I gotta agree with what Tovette said but if you were forced to do it in a few hours then I gotta say hats off to you it would take me a day at least to do that and I don't think I could come up with those likenesses in one pass. Overall though the image reminds me of those faux 'dirty' 50's comic / adventure novel covers which makes me think Indiana Jones posters, which I think is kinda cool. How's the title going to sit on / over it? |

| 2d Sensei | All good points Tovette! Everythig you daid was absolutely right! Unfortunately, composition (and the original idea of a digital painting) is something I wasn't able to do (hell, I didn't have the time to sketch it first! What you see is what I did, plus some photoshop to add that "texture" and the shading...), I didn't do some thumbnails, some rough sketches, etc... I did it directly with a soft pencil, I scanned it, and then I roughly defined some masses adding shadows and highlights... The next time I'll try to take some time to do a proper job, at least few days... ![]() @Firelode: The (really poor) title will be on the top, and, on the bottom corners there will be other two things (a symbol and some more text if I remember correctly...) And that's really something I hate to do (to work in a hurry), because I'm a very slow artist... Maybe too slow... Something like Travis Charest! (little joke for the comic readers ) |

| Ramiel, this is an excellent bit of art... as everyone has pointed out, you really captured the looks of the characters, and the "sepia" look of the image works very well with the pencil sketch effect... awesome work. |

| SFM Guru | Ramiel, nice free hand art work...Looks like something that would take a prize at a sci-fi art contest like they do at ComicCon...Keep up the nice work. |
