You could type it in a word processor, then copypasta it in place, but it won't fix grammar. Also, I didn't finish college.

I then was deliberating on if I should start the whole thing again and that just seemed like root canal work, so I decided to just go with what I got, but the whole time I was thinking to myself "Major Diarrhea is going to spot this in about 2 seconds!"
At your service. Reading that, I realized something else as well, with that design of habitation pod, if you were spinning the pods and accelerating at the same time, instead of gravity appearing to shift to the side of a cabin, such as in a fixed pod design, the pod would just tip toward the engine depending on how hard you accelerate. Gravity would always appear down inside the cabin. That way the system doesn't have to close up, except under acceleration the pylons can't handle.

I'll incorporate all of your suggestions into the next Imperial ship as they are all extremely well thought out, as usual. I'm going to stick with the carrier idea, partially as an homage to the container ship that carried Harriers in the Falkland War (Atlantic Conveyor I think was the name). but primarily because it's almost done.

And again, thank you for taking the time to read these and come up with your very valid comments and critiques. It really does help with the creative process and makes me see things from other perspectives.
Thank you very much for the compliments, I enjoy reading your work about as much as I do looking at it, which is very much indeed. I take the time to point out anything I think could use improvement because I want the things I like to be as good as they can be. But, more selfishly, also because I like certain things certain ways or want to see certain things I haven't seen before.

That Rio Grande is a nice looking near-future design. Very utilitarian looking. Nice Job : )

thanks xanthra.

Here's the next one up. I have to give a big thank you to Major Diarrhia who has been helping me really flesh all this stuff out! The next one after this will really reflect his input and ideas.

oh and the HMAS is for His Majesty's Auxiliary Ship, not Australian.

The descriptions of both vessels are really good and I love the carrier conversion. I really like the defensive missile cells since they're so different from the others we've seen, and because they look good. It would be worth while changing the decoy launcher angle so they face perpendicular to the hull rather than parallel, that way they can all fire at any time, rather than only the rear ones being able to fire at any time, and the front ones at intervals when the hanger isn't in the way. Also, considering the spin radar added to the carrier, it makes sense that cargo version would have something similar, but far smaller, and on the bridge structure, although any military system should detect infrared through visual, with radar as secondary for close range and planetary attack.

Something to consider for the cargo version is that you say it has a pressurized cargo area, presumably its cargo would require that. That means you will need space stations with airlocks large enough to attach to its cargo hatches. Using a smaller on-board cargo handling ship won't be an option. Finally, what's the purpose of the large dish? If it's communication, I guess I could see the cargo ship turning as needed to turn the array, however, the military ship should have something much more flexible.

This all gave me an idea, for your cargo container ship, it should have a rail, or several, each with a robotic arm for container handling. The number of arms would depend on if the rails are interlinked by rails, and by how far the arms can reach.

Yay for credit.

This one was a real collaborative effort, the concept is by Phil O'Leary from over at the wolf shipyards, and Major Diarrhia contributed to the design of the skimmer while the design of the mothership is entirely his idea. A big thank you to both of these chaps for their time and ideas!

Excellent. However, I noticed something, the Filby's upper right description says, "advan-ships of this type," instead of "advan-ced ship of this type." Also, on the Manta, I just realized it could use three more RCS thruster clusters. Oops.

Crappers. Fixed the missing text, easy enough, the extra RCS thrusters, err, not so much!

Yeah, I actually noticed it a while ago, but forgot about it, bit even then it was probably too late.
