Wow! Very nice, very atmospheric. What did you use to make that? It looks very traditional

very nice! It could use some other colors, its very blue, but it definitely works. Is the planet all painted?

Thanks, I like blue :P - For the planets surface I saw an image on deviant art that someone had made that was a mashup of many differnt rock textures using blending and what not, so I made my own texture by blending differnt rock textures i had lying around on my computer .

You've got a great mood established with your scene! I really like it. Heck, if I could do that when I was 16 I'd be stoked, but we didn't have this fancy stuff back then Blue is a great color, but I would recamend that you try to explore mixing other colors in to make your palette more interesting. That shade of blue you used is an excellent shade- it's virbrant and lively but also emotive. Try using nearest neighbor colors like cyan or even minty greens, or lavenders and purples to liven up your piece. These are cool colors and will still express your mood but also make the painting more interesting to look at too! Also, by mixing warm tones in with the cool you can manipulate the viewer's eye around the piece and make them focus on what you want and what to ignore. Awesome work so far!
