Space Station

So yeah,
I got a little bored last night between the hours of 12am and 3am and started (and to my surprise, finished) this Ancient Space Station. Its based in the Stargate universe, im not sure if its meant to be a more militaristic station or a port for passengers going in every direction.

Anywho, Here is some basic info.

Docking Ports: 16
Drone Launchers: 4
Beam Weapons: 4
Power Systems:
  1. 1 ZPM
  2. 3 (Unknown) Generators
  3. 3 Emergency Power Nahquada Generators
Shields: Ancient "City Shields"
Engines:
  1. 16 Manuvering Thrusters (Dorsal & Ventral)
  2. 4 Sublight Engines
  3. 2 Hyperdrive Engines

Yeah, im really not sure if thats overkill for a station, if so I will gladly rework the information. (I wasnt going for a fanwank. lol)

So yeah, here she be. Top view only for now. . .

Note: there is a general size comparison to the Aroura class vessel

If you think of Atlantis as your run-off-the-mill outpost the design up there could be a military outpost. Just the kind that could be found at Ancient locations like Camelot and Avalon.

Somebody blow something up, I'm in a really bad mood. Thanks in advance.

Um, why does a space station have Hyperdrives?

And why does it have Sublight engines?

It is a soace station. It isn't supposed to move.
The thrusters are good to keep it from moving though.

I am An-Alteran from Gateworld BTW.:P

I really like the design.

Perhaps the station is designed to be move to strategic positions, to be used as a battle station or as a research station? Who knows how the Ancients think?

I second Wilsons idea...
I think, they' where wise enough to make stations movable... this would increase their usages and improve the Ancients frontlines (though it didn't worked much, I guess... )
And you also have to consider that the ressources the Ancients had wheren't infinite so they had to think about what they do with their available ressources...

... then it would not be a "Space Station" now would it?

Then what would you categorise Atlantis? Its basically the same as the space station.
