| SFM Guru | Star Trek Origins Concepts Ok .... i going to put some draws that I was making fro Star Trek Origins, proposed ships, shuttles, etc... Shuttles : Here are my first draws about the shuttles that we can use in STO (their class name must be changes, because the TOS shuttle in the "F class" like are said in TOS. ![]() Also, today i was reworking on it, based more over the TOS shuttle. ![]() Klingon Ships : This my first draws of the D6 Klingon Battle cruiser. It not end to like me. ![]() So, late i remake all, based more over some concept arts for the Klingon battle cruiser for ENT that never was showed (but i love it!) ![]() Getting some of the style of the D6, I create the F8, like a more small ship (made for Electronic War). It retrieve more things of the D5 of ENT. ![]() And you can compare the D6 and the F8 wich the D7 of TOS and two ENT Klingon ships. ![]() The Deck 01 of the USS Yorktown. Blue Prints : There is the last version of the Deck 01. I remade it when i discover that i made the bridge more big thatch TOS bridge. So using some blueprints of TOS bridge, and the TOS Enterprise, i remade the bridge and the Deck 01. The good thing is that now, the rooms in the Deck 01 fits better. |

| SFM Guru | I don't usually make draws "in real world" of my ideas for ships, but this latest holidays i did. This are ideas for a alien ship ... a guys called Jerym Triarchy, that are a race that have a deep beliefs around the "number 3" to the point that is reflect in his government (three triarchs), his culture and his technology (ships which three nacels, three impulse engines , etc...). Plus im working in the direction that have some kind of hybrid organic ships technology, They make to grow the hull of the ships (and is a living hull!) but warp core, computer cores, etc... are inorganic tech like Klings or Feds... so i like to give a organic shape to the ships which some touches of tech looks. In the first paper, are my ideea for his warp nacel .. the spikes are the forward of it, in the second and third are ideas of the shape and aspect of the his typical cruiser in 2235. ![]() ![]() Finally i found a draw that i do some years ago, based on the ideas of a Fed light cruiser that have a hybrid ring warp nacel - four nacels desined to fix subspace damage. Is inspired in the Intrepid class and the Vulcan's Ring warp nacels of ENT. It have a bit elements from Sovereign class (more modern that he Intrepid class, but have a similar size) |

| That Klingon ship comparison is really good. For some reason I never realized how much bigger the D5 is compared to the Enterprise era Bird of Prey. When I saw this a few weeks ago, I was left wondering how the D5 is more powerful than the Bird of Prey, since Duras started on a D5 and was demoted and ended up with a Bird of Prey, so it stands to reason the latter ship is weaker. Anyway, all I could figure is that the one, large, nose gun on the D5 must be stronger than the dual wing tip guns on the Bird of Prey. That leads me to something relevant to the thread, the D5 has the same belly turret that the Bird of Prey has but it isn't shown in the comparison. The D6 is also very nice, I would try out a more dynamic nacelle, just to see how it looks. |
