Starfleet Technical Journal

Well the time has come. I've finally begun work on it. Even with all my other projects going on I've had time to begin work on it. I call it the, "Starfleet Technical Journal." I called it a techncal journal in reference to Scotty's line from "Trouble with Tribbles." Well the first page here is the thing they used to extract the intrument of obedience in "For the World is Hollow and I have Touched the Sky." The second image is of the Test Ray Generator I haven't done the side view yet. It was based off of Irishman's test ray generator. I'm going to change the look of the my version once I see it on screen and can make it look more screen accurate. I hope I didn't violate any eternal law by using his image as a template. Well enough chat. Here you go.

EDIT: I guess I should explain what I'm doing in more detail. Essentially I am watching ever episode of the original series and taking notes of ever device, every uniform, every location, and everything else. Then I am going to compile it all in here. So if you ever wonder what the devil Crewman Extra is carrying down the corridor in a certain scene, you will know with this book.

Bless you and Godspeed, young man. A formidable, and worthy, task for your skills. Looking forward to watching this progress. Will you be releasing the final product in PDF format?

Yes I will be releasing it. And it will only be covering the TOS era. I'm planning on doing some versions for the Captain Pike era as well.

Would also be interesting for later eras... Like Movie-era... Or Picard-era...

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...

That's why I've became a Warrior of Heart, Defend the one you like, Guard the one you love...

I think it's wize to focus on TOS era, there is already enough on TNG! looking good so far, this is one i'll keep my eye on!

^^ Yeah, what he said. The devices in TNG-era are already explained to death. Plus, that's a lot more shows to sift through.

Nice work so far. One small nit: shouldn't your dimensions be in the metric system? I mean, it's what they use on Trek (don't quote the inconsistencies, I know about that.) I'm sure you can find dozens of metric conversion charts with Google.

Ambitious, and thus far impressive. Good luck and enjoy.

Excellent beginning and quite a cool project. I, as many, look forward to its completion.

Yes evil_genius you are correct. the measurments should be in metric. I was just too lazy to find the conversion.
