have you ever considered doing the Python Attack craft or the Asp fighter? I really like your drawings

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

I like the larger raptor, I always thought that the Raptor was just too small.

Thanks guys. I intend the Raptor to be able to have various weapon systems installable, I'm basing the idea and all on the MH/AH-60 Pave Hawks, so they'll be heavily armed. It'll have underwing mounts, some on the edge of the forward fuselage, two turret guns mounted under the weapon stations, which can also have Black Hawk-style machine guns for use while on the ground. One vision I had was a bunch of basically unarmed large Raptors escorted by regular Raptors kitted out as gunships, like the UH-1D/C combo from the Vietnam war. The basic idea was that it be able to carry a 9-11 person squad, more than the half dozen the regular one can. Oh, and there's a fast rope station in the floor right aft of the weapon stations.

I got some more work on the Viper Mk VII side done.

I basically finished the Mk VII side view, although I'll probably go back and add in more engine detail. I didn't take it after I finished and tweak it to go closer to BJ's like I did the top view, but I did use his cannons as a source for mine. Now to start doing the variants.

Here's the T.Mk VII trainer. The other pic is a rough WIP melding of the VF-0B nose and cockpit to the VF-0A body. I'm going to add the proper -0B head after I finish up the nose area.

Here's a little something I was able to start today. It's the XJ X-wing from the NJO era in Star Wars. I'd like to thank ChrisGFX who graciously gave me orthos of his superb X-wing to use as a basis. It's inspired by the old XJ model by Alfred Wong at Starship Modeler. You can already see some of the differences. The fuselage is slimmer and the aft end is cut back, the rear fuselage is about as far back as it will go. Also, there is different intakes, these don't move with the wings (they're from the F-16, lol), wing roots, and lasers. Additionally, there's a third torpedo launcher on the ventral side.

I worked some more on the XJ today. One thing I did change from the original design was that I extended the aft fuselage just a bit, the balance of the design benefitted from it I think.

I thought I'd do something different this evening. I have a book about the history of US battleships by a guy name Norman Friedman. In it there are US Navy design sketches of possible BB designs that they never used. I thought it'd be fun to detail some of them, since they are just internal layouts, showing the engineering spaces, magazines, etc. This is the first one, I laid the keel earlier this evening. It's Scheme IXE, an early design for the North Carolina class. I named it the Indiana, in honor of the cancelled South-Dakota class BB of the same name and number. She's armed with 8 14in/50 cal guns, all are already installed, as well as 5in secondary battery which isn't all quite in yet, still have some single turrets to install, the ones there already are dual turrets.

Anyway, still got a lot of detailing to start, but most of the structure is blocked out. Hmm, this would probably fit over at Mil-Meshes.
