Post CASCOM Operations Map

Friends,

As I was looking through this section, I thought the star chart I am creating for my writing unit and SF Cassini Command in Star Trek: Frontiers might be worth sharing.

What's really neat is that a lot of what you see was created through the stories we have written.

Still have a few more things I want to do to it.

For those that might be interested, I created the much larger maps for Star Trek: Frontiers (ST:F) a year or so ago.

It is so large that we divided it up for easier viewing.

Once the CASCOM map is completed, the information there will be transferred to the master ST:F map (possibly excluding a few of the finer details).

NIce work.

I had to do a double-take though when I saw the title. I work in US Army Combined Arms Support Command, which is abbreviated CASCOM.

That I did not know but when we originally created the structure of fleet operations in ST:F, we did pattern it off the U.S. military's use of operational "Commands".

Seems to include a bit more than just the naval units.

Yeah, the Army does have a lot of commands. Examples:

Special Operations Command (SOCOM)
Corps Support Command (COSCOM) now defunct
US Army Forces Command (FORSCOM)
Central Command (CENTCOM)

etc.

Great job as always, Mike. Time for me to pump some life into Tangier.

A (long) while ago when we played in a different structure we had a Central Command too. Looooooooong ago. The not intended paralells are amazing, if not frightening.
