Starfleet Auxiliary Craft This is an offshoot of my Constellation Class project. People who have been following this will remember the old Stealth Reconnaissance Vehicle (the black shadow in the attached image). I've started to redesign it, blocking out the general shape and a few greebly bits. The "wings" of the new design are supposed to generate a special sort of "stealth field", for lack of a better word (basically a cloak, but called something else to avoid trouble with the Romulans ).I may end up folding this back into the CCTM thread, but for the time being this is a separate thing. Expect further work on this as well as another redesign, namely that of the other auxiliary vehicle, the one with the annular warp engine, in the weeks to come. [ETA: This is very much a design in progress, so helpful suggestions how to improve it are very welcome.]

| SFM Nugget | That's pretty cool. I like the front view and the shape of the wings. Maybe call the non-cloak effect; Low Observation Field. I didn't follow the original stealth, so what are the dimensions on this baby? |

Hm ... "Low Observation Field" - I like that. If I keep the wings (which isn't so sure now), I'll use it. Oh, and dimensions are pretty much in flux right now, but the grid next to the front view should give you a vague idea (one section of the grid is one meter). Here's an update. The bumps are another thing I'm not so sure about. I think I'll drop them before the end. Those among you who remember the other auxiliary vehicle, the ASV, will be in for a surprise. I had a quick sketching session today, and I came up with a radical redesign for it. I'll keep the annular warp engine and the tail, but everything else will be changed. Stay tuned!

Very nice Michael! It's got sort of a Farscape feel but a distinctly Trek look. I look forward to more.

Thank you! It certainly is something different. That should be obvious to everybody now that I've started to colour it ...
