Olympic Class Revisited

Hi. This thread is gonna serve dual purposes, I suppose. First, obviously, is to showcase the ship, which I think is really cool and needs some attention.

Second is to ask for Jimi James' and Galen' permission, to use their work. The ship itself belongs to Jimi and I'm just changing/adding to & coloring it, and the pieces (pods, windows, etc) belong to Galen's Legacy class, which is also fabulous.

So, if neither person minds (I'm going to put full credits on the pic, of course) then please let me know either way, and I'll either continue work on it, or have the moderators remove the thread

Yeah, go for it. What you have so far looks good. I see you've already corrected one thing that was on my to-do list for this one, the matter of the over sized airlock. I also like the sensors you've added to the middle ring of the sphere.

Thanx, I appreciate it. It's a really cool ship, and I would hae to see it go to waste. I've since added some windows, but I dunno if I'm goign to keep them all, or at least change them around. The decks don't really match up, so I was thinking of doing a cutaway first, work all how many decks and where they are, then do the windows and pods.

If you have any suggestions though, or wanted anythign changed or have anything else on your list that you were gonna change, lemme know and I'd be more than happy.

since the Olypmic Class is a medical vessel i would add a few phaser arrays i see two forward torpedo launchers keep those and when you do an aft view have on aft launcher
the Mk.I some say has no armament or very little and with the dominion war losses would have been high so i little more armament and maybe i little larger the the Mk.I

I like this knew and improved Federation Olympic Class medical starship, it looks a hell of alot better then the original. This was one of my least favorite starships in Star Trek. But the improvements you made on it have gotten me to liking it. Nice work and looking forward to more updates on the Olympic Class refit.

Unfortunately I'm not very good when it comes to making up the other views from scratch, so unless Jimi (or someone else) decides to take a stab at it, I'll prolly be stuck just working onthe side view.

Phasers and such though, I deffinitely want to add. Even if it's a medical ship, it would still need some for defence so I had planned on adding a couple more at least, and a torpedo at the rear is a good idea too.

LOL, normally its nice to ask first before using dude. But anyhow, since its already up, too late to whine about it. I myself might attempt to redraw this beaut, assuming i ever get back into 2d werk and away from EVE lol

My apologies. I was originally only doing it for my own benefit and didn't plan on posting it anywhere, so it wasn't going to be a problem. But then I decided to, and ask permission at the same time. Honestly though, if it is a problem I have no qualms about removing it, and I can try and do some pods and windows and such from scratch.
