It's not ready for it's own thread (plus flux hasn't actually seen it yet), so I'm gonna post it here as a "sneak peek." flux, let me know what you think. |

| SFM Nugget | Wow, thats a very interesting addition to the design. I like that you basically kept the runabout itself the same and added the cargo sled. I might suggest a more TNG-era design since it looks like you based it on the Oberth which is a little outdated for this vessel's era. Very cool to see someone else's take on my design. Now, if only I could find the time to finish the Valkryie. My graphic design classes are taking up some serious time! |

I'm thinking about making the sled less round and more of the same shape as the basilisk's hull, with a distinct bottom and sides. Also worked on the interior design; the basilisk is two decks with a cockpit and pilot's cabin above, and a cargo/passenger deck, lounge/mess, and crew cabin below. |

(Electronic Counter Measures) and/or Oberth-type extended-range sensors or can placed in a straight line over a few sectors to act as subspace relays / signal boosters a-la MIDAS? A pod for squads of Basilisk-Class craft that are utilized as mobile triage units for when larger Olympic-Class (& otherwise medically-dedicated,) vessels are tied-up elsewhere? A gun-ship variant pod that makes a Type 15 shuttle look like an NX-era inspection pod. |

Downloads: 1 Uploads: 0 | all good ideas. the cargo pod seemed the one to start with. sensor pods, personnel carriers, recon modules, relay stations, mobile hospitals, command posts, temporary shelters for establishing colonies, ...nearly endless options. if you've followed any of my Trek projects in the past, you'll know that I steer away from overly-militaristic designs. nothing against them per se, but the 'old school' TNG philosophy of Hope for the Future is more attractive to me. (I may design a gunship-type pod, but don't expect it to be first in line. ) Anyway, once I get going, this will all be in its own thread. don't want to distract flux from the Valkyrie. thanks, hellsgate |
