| DON'T OPEN THAT!! | Film Company Logo New logo I created for my film company, Thank to Nate for the ideas for the enhancements. I also threw it in the Filmakers Lounge but since it's 2d art s well I figured this was a good place to have it. *looks around in curiosity* Never posted anything in here before, nice place I'll have to visit more often |

| SFM Guru | I can almost hear Tovette straining at the leash wanting to give you advice on how to improve your logo! Which does by the way look pretty cool, although I think the text could be made a little clearer. Additionally, I do not mean to imply that anyone holds Tovette on a leash, it's just an expression! |

| DON'T OPEN THAT!! | LOL, I'm gonna change the text tonight but the pic itself is done (I Mean how much more hurricane can you get? ) I will probably change the text effect over all and try something that doesn't strain the eye so much but yeah this is pretty much final unless someone has some other suggestions? |

| SFM Nugget | I would say have no effect for the text. A basic sans-serif font. For the start of movies using the logo, I'd start with a moving hurricane from space, move to just above it (with some bright flashes, like lightning), then zoom out and fade to the logo, with the name blurring in at the bottom. Optionally, use the sound of a storm going, with thunder cracks matching the lightning flashes. |

| DON'T OPEN THAT!! | Nice OneBuck, I was actually considering my next step toward animating this thing an what approach I'd use. One inspiration I had was the pic of that car that was caught on the traffic cam during Katrina being blown down the street in excess of 100mph and I was thinking I'd whip up a CG scene like that and then pull back until you see the earth with this massive hurricane sweeping across it and then fade the scene out to the logo. |

| Project Lead on SFM Film | Hmm Look very familiar to one I created for my movie company Dark Galaxies. I posted a thread for it just after the big crash. I'll have to see if I can find the thread. But your looks much better than mine. *edit* found the the thread but I have removed the pic as I had run out of attachment space. If you don't mind I post a pic of the one I created when I get home. |

| SFM Nugget | I'd say don't stylize the text at all. Keep it simple, bold and readable. This way, it'll look more polished and elegant. Like a controlled storm. Seeing this text with styles and effects applied makes things look a little more home-grown to me, rather than a professional production facility/organization. Also, you want people to see the logo and associate it with a clear name. Since the logo is on screen for a few seconds at the most, the audience should be able to read the text easily, and not have to make the text out through visual noise. A simple, bold sans-serif font would work better here, I think. |
