So, sentient squid? Nice sketches! I like the nautilus-inspired ship.

I was watching something awhile back on Discovery Channel, they were talking about the squid/octopus and how smart they are. I could see a species like squid-like creatures evolving into intelligent beings.

I like the ships. I was thinking that there ships would maybe a little more organic looking. Maybe even a bio-mechanical look to them. Also, would their ships be filled with water like the Aquatic-Xindi in ENTERPRISE?

Always love your creative and imaginative work. Well Done.

P.S.-is the race hostile or friendly?

Looks great! I have to agree with Narsil about the look of the ships. But otherwise, the creatures themselves look awesome.

Very creative ideas you've got so far In my own opinion I think the 'top' part of the creature feels a little odd just flopping backward like that, but I don't know if these people live in the water still or outside in a gaseous atmosphere.

The ships are a great idea, although I think the two parts are a bit too contrasted to eachother in the sense that one part has a very organic feel to it while the other half still retains a strong machined look eventhough it has organic shapes and lines. Perhaps if you worked to blend the two together more you will have a more cohesive concept. Awesome work so far; love the ideas.

I could see this aquatic species as one from the planet or planets (that the "space ocean" Voyager encountered,) was engineered from.

Very cool. Remind me a little of Illithid...

The shell on the ship is pretty neat.

very very sweet, kinda remind me of the enemy of Crysis.

Ships look fantastic, personally i like the tech ship with the little squidies in it lol, kinda makes sense just like how crabs find shells to live in and for protection, the squid people can too...

...just with cannons and energy shields? :P
