Scribble

Something I scribbled while bored at work a couple days ago. Donno if I will go any farther than this with it and yes I know its cut off on both sides :P wasn't planning it to be as big as it turned out. But I thought you guys might like to see.

Anyways its a take at a refit USS Federation (the dreadnought form the TOS tech manual)

Interesting the shuttle bay is below the forwarp torpedoes, whats at the very rear? Did you also draw an aft view?

Looks groovy!

I love the forward-facing Shuttlebay. The wing pylons are funky, too. Echo of pacal's question though - with the Shuttles at the front, what did you imagine putting at the rear? The back end looks almost like the tail pipe of a jet engine; was three nacelles not enough engines for ya?

Thanks guys Well if you look at the original design for the Federation in Franz Joseph's Starfleet Technical Manual, you will see that on the aft of the secondary hull is a rear facing deflector dish...why...donno...does it do anything useful other than when the ship is in reverse...donno, but thats there in the original, so thats there in this sketch of a refit

reference, the page from the book;
