Discovery-Class (Originally Monarch) HUGE UPDATE 8-12-08

This is my first project post on Scifi-Meshes so you will have to bare with me.

Higher Resolution Link below:

http://fc03.deviantart.com/fs25/f/20...njapan1988.jpg

Other views will come slowly as I am approaching exams, but I wanted to post so i could get some feedback. I know the image is large. I just want to be able to display the detail behind her.

Note: This is my first attempt with Illustrator (as I got it about two weeks ago) so any crituqe or suggetions would come in handly.

Thanks,

Josheua

Stats are on the bottom for other info, but she is 900m long. I know...huge, but my thought in designing her was that when starfleet built the sovereign, they kind of downgraded in internal space for their deep space explorer, so this is the true replacement for the Galaxy (Where, I feel, the sovereign was more of a replacement for the Excelsior)

I am currently working on a side view of her bridge.

Man this Starship is as big as a Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier. Nice start for someone that has never created a Starship from Computer program like creator. The design stays true to the Post TNG era starship design.

An I agree the Monarch Class would be a true replacement to the Galaxy Class Explorer.

Anyways good job and looking forward to more updates on the Monarch!!!

Here is another update, a shot of the bridge, again another WIP that I might back and edit but at least gives you an idea of the look and feel of the interior of the ship.

Hope you enjoy.

Unfortunately I do not own a program to do a 3D modeling and it will take me some time till i can get the result I want to do a isometric view of the bridge in illustrator. We will have to see though, thanks for the positive feedback. I started on the front view this evening, may have it done in the next couple of days depending on how the exam schedule plays out.

The ship looks like an alternative version of the Sovereign and the bridge looks like a version of the Galaxy-bridge..

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...
