shipfisher: Thanks! Since you asked, here's what I have for a shuttlepod:![]() Bottom view: ![]() It's a really small ship, so I figure any more than 2 shuttles is pushing it. Shuttle #2 is called the Rosenman. Or possibly the Giacchino. I'm not sure; ask me again in 2009.

More sketches Sarvek, shipfinder: Glad you like it. ![]() Finally, here's the design for the main sphere, with the shuttlepod for scale: ![]() And an aft view: ![]() Ok, so the way I figure this thing was built is that the outer shell surrounds the actual living space, which is built in a sort of layer-cake fashion, and that the two are connected by some sort of bumpers or shock absorbers that would take the stress of an impact. Here's a quick sketch, along with a closeup of the window: ![]() So now the next step is to produce something a bit more schematic-y looking.

Neat! Love the shuttle too, it's deliciously boxy.

This ship is getting to big for my computer ro handle the redering, so it's on hold currently.. But here is a tease of the shuttle, it's my take on it, so it's not perfect.. But the reference images are great, keep them coming..

I've noted the Soran77 version of the shuttlepod seems scaled-up compared to the carlg original. You can sort of see it as perhaps a romulan war era tactical shuttle and even a predecessor of that winged, high-mounted nacelle shuttle that I think most of us have seen in those Trek XI spy photos that were posted a few weeks ago (and quickly removed) on AICN. Once again, a big It's also great to see you posting in this thread Aethernaut. Your beautiful take on the Daedalus and spot-on design Icarus class shuttlepod (I like to think of it as the type 1 shuttlecraft) are big favourites of mine from around the ENT era.
