Good start. It seems a little flat though, perhaps add some shading & texture and bump up and defuse those drop shadows slightly to make it pop a bit more.

Firstly what Aethernaut said and secondly, the plagues of this area have a listing of Stafleet-staff on it (between the three lines and the quotation line). It#s here at the administrative site always stands "Adm. Gene Roddenberry".

This form of plagues (without the staff credits) was used in TOS and TMP, but never later.

Hey Aresius, he already said he hadn't added the names yet.

I haven't used Inkscape beyond just a cursory poke at it. In any vector program you could do it as such though...

Let's suppose a light source was up and to the right. The top & right edges would be a little lighter so just make separate shapes for those and color them lighter than the edges you've got now. Do the same with the left and bottom, but darker. Or if you wanted to get a little fancier, top edge lightest, right edge slightly darker than top, left edge dark, bottom edge darkest.

That should make it pop off the screen like it's got a little depth.
