I think you should widen the entire body. That design would work for something like Star Trek, but BSG tends to be much beefier, much more heavily designed and bulky. I'll post and example later.

I agree with you about the head being wide enough. Here's an example of what I mean.

Well took a break from the dorsal plan to work on the fore view. After all the hard work, an odd feeling hit me. Something doesnt seem right about the engines and the head and the main body from top plan. Might change them tomorrow after i awake. What do u guys think? I did widen the main hull but something still doesnt feel right somewhere haha

Perhaps two dorsal and ventral engiens would better balance the design?

Dradis

Made several changes to the dorsal view, as well as redesigned the whole engine system. Took a break too and did up a Dradis screen for the ship. Still a WIP too.

Lookin' good! I really wish I could come up with some more constructive, but I can't think of anything to improve!

I liked the original engines better. Looking good, though.

Been awhile since the last update. In that time, I've learnt a few nifty tricks with Illustrator... Tried some texture styles and new colour shading to the side view. Ventral view is coming along nicely too, so do stay tuned!
