I've never been into Galactica (probably because it was never aired in this part of the world ...) but I like the designs from the series so I will keep an eye on this one

Are you going to do a relistic or a more cartoony version of the base ?

Maybe shorten it a tad. It looks too tall. But it looks like it could turn out very well.

I plan to make this as realistic as possible. I changed the central core by widening and shortening it. Did a basic dorsal layout. Not too satisfied with the shape. Any ideas on improving it?

Shorten the core even more, thin out the upper arms of the "Y", and reduce the angle of the upper arms of the "Y". This might help (baseship schematic):

I'm not very good at drawing anything, but I thought of this when a super-basestar came to mind....the four main arms mimic each other top and bottom...but the top and bottom extra arms are opposite each other.

Thanks for the tip ENdeavour. BUt i was hoping to make this Baseship a little different and larger than the Normal basestars. Thus the thicker arms.
