I love the idea of combining both the BSG and the ST universes and it is a really cool design you made. That is why I couldn't resist giving it a try to make a 3D version by putting a Intrepid class saucer section on a battlestar hull and playing a bit with the textures. Here's the WIP from last weekend. The nacelles still need work as you can see.

I only have two remarks on your design: the deflector seems to be missing, which is essential for warp travel (or so they say...

). And usually the nacelles are mounted on a support beam rather than on the hull itself. I guess it has something to do with the warp field geometry.

Anyway, keep up the great work and I can't way to see the end result!

My brain feels dirty now.

Jonny Boy, the MSD looks great, it reminds me of when the Xindi Aquatics' ship carried Enterprise in her belly. I'm also glad to see the bottom view matching the top view with the pods. Also, I found a piece of concept art for the original Galactica's bridge, I think it makes for good inspiration for a new bridge. I've always wanted to see a Federation ship with a full wrap around view screen, as was done in the concept art for the Galaxy Class. The second was a concept for the video game as a progressive upgrade of the original Galactica's bridge.

Awwww.........get used to it. As for you, major, there's just one question I want to ask: Where did you find those artworks for the Galactica's bridge? I always wanted to take a look at artworks, even during pre-production of some movies.
