It looks great, but the Intrepid saucer makes it look unrealistic. However, as a placement to see the basic shape of the model, it adds to the design's depth from what we've already seen.

Lovin that artwork. Who did all the drawings for the prelimenary work for Galactica?

Well, I was planning to drop the Intrepid part and make a new saucer section. This thing is far from finished yet and I have to agree with Gardner that it is not a beauty *yet*...

Wow, I leave for a few hours and find a few surprises when I return.
Flamand, I gotta say, I'm flattered by your work. I love kitbashes, and this is definitely a pleasant surprise. Keep at it, I'd love to see more. And by the way, your work is way over my head, so keep on truckin and all that. Oh and by the way, the warp engines will be on very short pylons, just off of the hull, or at least the top ones will be. And there is a small deflector on the front of the suacer section. In the top view, you can see the cutout and the faint blue glow near the front of the saucer. In the side view, you can also see the cut into the hull. I may add another one to the underside of the suacer section.

Thanks for the kudos Major D. And thanks for those priceless pics. I've never seen them before, and you just gave me some great ideas to incorporate into my Bridge/CIC designs. That wrap-around viewscreen is going in for sure. The glass display at the back of the CIC in the second pic is already on my bridge, too. Guess I'll have to get cracking on that too....

I really appreciate all the comments and suggestions, as well as the fun banter. Lets just keep things light. Thanks again everyone. I may have time to post an update Sunday. Until then...

Truly, my vast array of links is impressive... Here's the link and the art page below. At the bottom of the art page is a next button for further pages.

This subject is truly amazing.
Is it possible to get the original image(With Intrepid and Sovereign) with the new(Current) version of Galactica.

Voyager hate aside, I don't think the Interpid saucer works, I don't think I can elaborate further other than it just looks a little strange(scaling maybe?) I think a Sovereign saucer would look much better and give it a tougher look. I think an Excalibur Saucer would look fantastic, though you will need to get permission from the creator.

Jonny Boy, the MSD looks great, it reminds me of when the Xindi Aquatics' ship carried Enterprise in her belly. I'm also glad to see the bottom view matching the top view with the pods. Also, I found a piece of concept art for the original Galactica's bridge, I think it makes for good inspiration for a new bridge. I've always wanted to see a Federation ship with a full wrap around view screen, as was done in the concept art for the Galaxy Class. The second was a concept for the video game as a progressive upgrade of the original Galactica's bridge.
This bridge would make an excellant ops for a starbase. Thanks for sharing.

Not cool.

That was hardly constructive, and seeing as Flamand took offense, it's apparent it wasn't very funny either. Now as far as getting used to it goes, that's hardly necessary, seeing as that kind of behaviour isn't generally tolerated very long around here.

Play nice, or don't play. Up to you.

--edit-- oh and Flamand, you need to give credit to whoever made that Voyager saucer.
