Seems over redundant. Voyager did carry a second warp core, so if this ship did too, it should carry a second ZP core.

PKF, All that Techo-babble is getting on everybodies nerves. Do yourself a favor and take all that Techno-babble and keep it in your Fan-fiction.

I think you should start your own thread so you can talk about your back story about all this fan-fiction Trek style technology, along how it works and some designs of the technology in your fan-fiction.

I don't see it as a mistake... They left it out willingly...
First off it's logical that a ship of that sizes has only one core... Even a Galaxy class or a Sovereign class vessel has only one... (yeh~yeh, I know, different core design equals differet core performance and thus different power output...)
Secondly, one core gives some good story backgrounds... (eject warp core in emegency then get it back via shuttle... etc...)
Thirdly several cores withing such a small vessel is just insane... It would be okay with a ship twice big as the Galaxy (for instance) or a starbase, but not at such a small sizes vessel...

See the Shadows of Darkness, Hear the Scream of Cruelty...
