Cheetah light cruiser - Scifi-Meshes.com

i am working on a light cruiser for the Re-imaged BSG. suggestions?

seeing the carrier class ships with no arms and re-classified looks odd to me. I would think they'd make the ships with no carriers different than just taking the pylons off. just my opinion.

its more than that she is half the size of the Battlestars and she can only carry 12 fighters.

Wolfcannon this looks very close to something that I created about a year ago for the BSG universe. The image looks almost identical to some of my early postings of my Colonial Battlecruiser when it was a work in progress before the great crash of the boards. Here is a link to that completed project on Scifi-Meshes http://www.scifi-meshes.com/forums/2...-ship-bsg.html. I am not saying that these are those images, but I find it a little crazy how close our ideas can be. Funny how minds sometimes can think alike.

I will be interested in seeing where you take this project. I might have to change the direction of my Destroyer I was making... this could be fun.

well she is a light cruiser, she is able to launch 12 vipers and has 16 heavy guns, 1 heavy pulse cannon, 205 smaller guns. crew is about 1,100. her length is 1,500 feet from stem to stern. her role is to intercede and disrupt any attacks from raiders or missles.

i did see what you did but i did not steal your images, i worked my own images on my computer in my low grade bit map editor. were you going to use the old tiger destroyer as a base model?

unless he has some of the exact same greebles, lights and panleing as you , he stole your image. please excuse the chopped up pictures

no sir i did not steal his design, i have my own pictures of the galactica and like i said i used the bit map paintshop i have on my computer to make the cheetah. i saw what mirage did and like it so i used the cheetah light cruiser that is post on starhip schematics as a base to make this version. mirage's design is different than mine. here is what the cheetah looks like in the old series.

I believe these are just very similar designs bashed from the same zoic orthos that were released a while ago

there are enough differences that I don't think that one was 'stolen' from the other
the designs are practically the same though . . .
