| My chinese friend bought a Xin-Shu R-88 Abacus with pearl beads and ultra smooth carbon fiber rods for faster processing for 1000 bucks. Thing is his friend has a an old one made from plastic and it out equals and sometimes out performs his ultra R-88 system. Know why? Becuase my friend with the cheaper abacus can move his beads just as fast, if not faster than his friend.
