| So far, I've just split them up into different surfaces and blocked out the colours. If I get round to texturing it it won't look as dark as the purity seals and other details will be coloured right and there'll probably be some battle damage, which I'll hopefully do properly with specularity and bump mapping (if I forget to do it properly, someone can kick me).
Black Templars are mostly black and white with red trims and details. Imperial Armour photos can be quite heavily tweaked to make them look more realistic so it's likely that you're just seeing a washed out version. Or are you talking about the cartoon orthos that are in Imperial Armour? In that case I can image they won't be pure black as the detail in the drawings wouldn't show up as well. |
