Caeruleus

This is just something i threw together over the last day or so. I wanted to do something really simple and colour themed. So i whipped up a quick water planet (i actually spent more time on the lense flare than the planet ) with a basic attempt at nightlights on some ocean city thing and bashed out a cargo ship. I was going to call it 'Blue' but that was a bit bland, so i called it Caeruleus, meaning blue in latin.

on second look, the ship is sorta fighting for space with the sun. You should move the ship out and into it's own space so it can become more of a focus compositionally.

Hmm, mabey i will play around with a slight nebula or something to fill in the empty space, or mabey a distant moon. Nothing too vibrant and distracting. Now that you mention it Tovette, i do see that problem. Ill definatly re-position it when i work on it some more tonight.

Thanks guys

Odd. I have checked this on 3 different moniters (2 in my house and a friends) and found the ship is visible in all but the extreme brightness/contrast settings. If anyone else is seeing too much brightness/contrast in this pic please say so i can fix it and remember for future pics

I like them both, but I think I actually prefer the first one. Big and empty is pretty much how you define space, so it's actually pretty realistic. Also, you can see the ship better in the first one, probably because the flare slightly illuminates it.
