Cool Field Work
Been workin on this one for awhile. Modeled in Wings3D Rendering and scene set up in Bryce. Post work in PSP7.

Lovely stuff there Ozylot I especially dig the molten rock where the laser is slicing through. Is this from your own universe? The mech design is great.

To answer your question, yes, the idea was that the mechs slice the rocks into small sections which are hauled away to processing facilities.

For the mech? or the picture?
The mech basic design is similar to the matrix APU but with alot of modifications.

For the picture I'd have to say Homeworld 2. Some of the concept art for that game shows resource collectors with large arms chewing away at asteroids. It kinda started from there. Glad you like it.
