Thunder over the water

Thats actually a very cool image man

My only suggestions would be to maybe put a very light reflection on the canopy, some slight colour correction - tint it lightly blue-grey, and if you really wanted to; some reflection off the water.

EDIT - Oh yea, and more specular highlights on the back half

I want to work on the textures some more first, get it closer to white

Nice. Try the chromatic aberration tutorial somebody put up here. (assuming you are sticking it on top in photoshop) it really does work wonders.
