Hunter-Class Escortstar Artemis

I played with the design for some long time now, it began with sketches on paper and finally I started to model it. I was able to finish it yesterday and therefore would like to present it to you and your critical comments.
The ship itself is of medium details, although most of it is really modelled and not only textured - I only used bump maps for the armorplates, although the actual armor is modelled as well. The Point Defence turrets arre actually stolen form one of my other models ( not yet finished ), a Wing Commander Strike carrier - used to have a thread here before the crash. And most important I got the KEW-Turrets from the meshes-section here, they were done by AldrikG and I figured if there are already some good models of them, where is the point of doing them on my own.
The Hunter-Class is a classical escort carrier design as we had it in WW II - I have a weakness for those ships since I read WC: End Run. Since the colonies needed carrier capacity very fast in the First Cylon War, they converted other ships to carriers, by simply adding hangar bays to them and of course fighter capacity. They were meant to provide fighter capacity to convois or provide Battlestars with replacements.
The vessel shown in the picture is ES-7 Artemis, named after the goddess of hunter. She is currently used as training ground for new pilots and test bed for technology and fighters.

I also have sketches of the ship's interior, especially the CIC and maybe I will do those in the future as well. Also I am working on a flyby animation which I will add if possible. While I consider the model as finished ( Yeeha! ) I will probaly polish it a little in the future, add details as they come into my mind. Well enough of the talk - beat me up already.

OK, as promised here is a little animation - a flyby of the ship. There is a preview of the animation as well. The quality of it is not too good, sadly Windows Movie Maker was not too kind to it, but its viewable, I think.

Looks good to me, although a little more detailing would help (IMHO)

I'm looking forward to the CIC

Very nice I like it. BSG needs more than Battlestars, escorts, supply repair, even bases

Canon is what people argue exists on ships that don't exist.

escortstar? It hink you can only take that naming convention so far.

The animation is a little tooo shaky but otherwise good work.

Thanks all!

@The B5 Fan: I first intended to actually simply call it an escortcarrier, but when I watched "Hero", I realized that they were even calling one-man ships "star" in this case "Stealthstar" and therefore decided to use that suffix as well. I also considered using a diminutive form, but could not come up with a suitable one, which would match a warship. Any suggestions are welcome anyway.
Concerning the shakyness of the animation, I simply tried to imitate the style of the TV show - however, I am not mutch of an animator ( not much of a modeller as well ) so it probably did not come out too good.

But thanks again for the feedback.

I did another little animation. I am not too convinced of the jump-effect, though. Looked better when I tested it with coxxon's Raptor-Mesh. Well anyhow, I decided to post it.
It is a little sequence with Artemis flying past the camera and jumping afterwards. Nothing big or special.
