i think that bryce has a .obj exporter i know that bryce 5.5 has one
and then from there most people should be able to import into what ever program they want...

It is not as easy as it sounds and the exported file is often a mess.

A whole heapin lot of it..easily 90%. And Bryce does have an OBJ exporter, but the problem is that it won't export this whole set as a single file. I could export the walls, then the second later of the walls, and the tactical station, and the lights, and the door frames, and so forth, but you'd have over three hundred OBJ files when it's all done to try and put together. And did I mention that none of these would be in scale?

Tis better if you get Bryce and use it that way.

Cool to see this bridge again. Itīs a fine job.
About the obj export, yes, it can be a pain to import, to clean all those aditional pollys and verts and, later, retexture it. Already did this a few times. Itīs a pain.

tnpir4002 - Of topic: If my memory serves, you built an Enterprise-D from "All Good Things" (3 naceles) some time ago, and she was done in lightwave. Can you share that mesh?

I did do one, but only the original 1701-D mesh was done in LW. All the attachments, including the pylon for the third nacelle, were done in Bryce. I just realized I never did actually show any pics of the finished product...I was working on it just the other day, I noticed some issues on the hull texturing in some lighting conditions so I was fixing that...I'll finish it up and upload some new pics.

I remember people around here get frustrated with my low-resolution renders so all will be happy to know my new default frame size is 1070x602. Much better I think than simple 720x405

I've got a new version of the 1701-D film bridge to show off as well. Look for that and more later tonight.

Bryce 5.5...
If my memory donīt fails, I have Bryce 5.0 (or 4.0). It was a gift from my sister, but I never used it that much.
Iīll be waiting to see the new renderings.

I actually use Bryce 6 now, it's a good program once you learn how to use it all the way. It can be tricky if you want anything really complicated as the renders take longer, but if you know what you're doing the effect is well worth it. You should head over to daz3d.com and check out their content libraries, they've got all kinds of things you can use for Bryce. WELL worth the look.

I just posted to another thread with some new pics, including the AGT 1701-D. Head over to the gallery and look for the thread "Federation Showcase" if you want to see them.
