That's a great image. There a few tiny things that bug me about it but i think it's artistic opinion. This image would be a great backdrop for a 3D animation.

A bit harsh on the cmporession ?! I see some weird artifacts... But other than that I can really see some spaceships "swooshing" by

Dont know how. The planet is a real earth shot the low orbit. I made this image using layers of images of rendered models I did.

It's simple, you take a screengrab of wireframe mode in Lightwave.

Of course if it's 2d then it belongs in the 2d gallery.
