I love the composition of this picture. Artistic. It would be nice to see a few more ships rendered in this way. Especially a Nebula class.

The brightness gives it a feel of a model kit than a CG mesh

Nice picture. As far as the lighting is concerned, in space do we really know what it would look like? I think it just fine as it is. It's your work and if your happy with it then that's all that matters.
