glad you guys are liking the background, it was really the main part of the image, there was a point at which I got these old school red beams of light in there and blending nicely and all the colours came through in the stars, and I knew it was going to work - up until then I'd thought about scrapping it if I couldn't pull it off

it actually turned out much better than I'd imagined it in my head before I started, everything seemed to come out with a lot of clarity despite all the brightness in the image, it's near pure white in some places and I'm still seeing the amount of stars I wanted to see though all that, so I'm very happy

PS - if someone is good at painting and wants to paint me a little Data or someone for a pilot I'll add him in there

Wow IRML, that is fantastic. It has a feel of Speed Racer in it, with all of the colors streaking by.
