I must say I'm very impressed by the work I've seen thus far, so I'm a bit hesitating to post my own stuff... I finished the FDC-307 last year. It was my first attempt to do a 3D model in Sketchup. Personally, since it has what looks like thrusters, I would like to see more thrusters in all the right places for full maneuverability instead of just lateral movement. That means turning left, right, up down, and sliding left, right, up down, forward, backward. That's right, it should have forward and backward thrusters too even though it has the big engines. The rear guns don't sit well with me because the same section also has the engines connected to it on pylons. That section will have a lot of structural stress. The turrets are also going to have to penetrate the hull several decks for proper bracing, even if they are purely energy but especially if they fire a round of some sort. |
