very nice, there was another one being done here that was ok but its accuracy deviated too much for my liking, this is great though

one thing - it does look a bit vertically streched compared to the original reference, otherwise it seems accurate though

surfacing and lighting is letting the model down in these renders, but great work

I pity the fool!

From what I remember from the hatch it would have had to go in one corridor segment length in order to reach the hangar bay from that position if everything was actually at 1:1 scale.

I agree with IRML on the surfacing/lighting, but other than that, the modelling is tops!

Cheers,
Nick

The hatch does not fit for two reasons, first the reason you mention, and second the hatch on the hull is above the centerline so it is angled a bit. We do not see that in the movies, all we see is docking the pod, next moment they appear in front of the closed hatch, which could be ofcourse a second hatch.

Lighting, yes, could be better ofcourse, I always say I suck at that

No problem, this mesh will be publicly, so any who wants can try and do it better.

I'm agreed with IRML on the texturing and lighting, all the colours look quite flat and almost cartoonish. But the modeling and accuracy is what this is really about and you've done very well indeed.
