 |  Back With a New Project....But not Sci-fi Hey guys... Been on a design Hiatus for a while but decided to start playing around with some of my interior design stuff. This is the house I live in....in the future...right now it's not nearly as pretty but someday I want to remodel it to look spot on these renders...any help on the lighting would be appreciated.. |

 | what are you using to render?, turbosketch?, if you are using sketchup (which it looks like) you should export it as a 3ds or obj file and render and texture it in another programme thats what i do, try blender if you need a free programme! |

| Heh heh..yeah..there's not a lot of choice with the canned models in SU....LOL..I wanted a Jeep as I own one there didn't seem to be one available... |

| I render in Kerkathea...And the free version of SU does not let you convert files to any useful type... |

| jeep - Google 3D Warehouse Search lol , whats at the back of the house it looks like a stairwell but no guardrails, unless its a driving range? lol. Yer i forgot about that cos i use pro, if you can get your hands on a copy of sketchup by '@last software' , they owned it before google bought it from them, it has exporters. I manages to get a hold of a copy a few years ago i htink its still floatingaround the net somewhere, of you could try to find ot on torrents, its legal since the complany doesnt exist anymore. If you want you can send me the file in sketchup to my email and ill change it to 3ds format now? |

| I don't think you can do an AO render in KT, but for the best possible light quality let it render overnight (and/or maybe for the day while your out) using the Metropolis Light Transport preset. It will start off very grainy, and the longer it runs the clearer it will get. You can stop it anytime whether you are satisfied with the current progress or not. Such is the price of quality though. |
