well we really dont know if they are capable of vertical take off and landing under gravity. They never showed us how Vipers land on planets. However since flight pods have partial gravity, it is possible they just land like airplanes on skids. That'd be my guess. But for the purpose of this pic, they have thrusters that enable them with vertical landing and take off, like Raptors :P Freak, that second image I posted of the close up of the Viper on the boat is at 1500 x 1000 res. I'm limited by the res of the background pic, so that's best I could do

ACtually, the Viper would need to point the otherway. we see it very often in the real BSG, they can take off from a planet using their boosters basicaly. Technicaly, the Viper can also land a bit like a semi-helicopter, comming in slowly and land on a precise spot. Cool idea by the way.."

Now that is a great idea! You should put a viper in a car park or at the little booth of a drive-through.

hehe, true, but this model doesnt have a cockpit, and canopy is not transparent. And for a fast food drive through shot it'd have to be pretty close ![]() Plus, I'm pretty busy with my animation project, but I'll keep it in mind for the future It's fun seeing Colonial Vipers pop up in unexpected places
